Learn about Best Practices and Management at the Lakes and Ponds Workshop for HOAs and Homeowners

 

A science-based educational program for HOAs and Homeowners, this workshop will instruct participants on the purpose and function of stormwater ponds, how to identify pond problems, and aquatic plants that can provide a habitat for wading birds and fish in addition to increasing the health of your lakes and ponds. The workshop will consist of a combination of presentations, interactive learning, and a stormwater system tour.

 

Participants will:

  • Gain an understanding of nonpoint source pollution and how it affects lakes and ponds
  • Learn more of various stormwater management features and proper pond maintenance
  • Understand how to expand your shoreline plant palette with a focus on native plants
  • Become familiar with the Naples Botanical Garden stormwater system
